Moma modern art Museum
MoMa Modern ART Museum 是現代藝術很棒的地方
在紐約非常有名
因為很喜歡painting , so I went.

on the way to MoMa Museum , the live artist on the street, he performed the liberty of statue
interesting, and very real.

Finally, after a lot of walking, I arrived...
It was Friday afternoon, the reason why I went there on Friday is because after 4 o'clock, it's free!!
or else you have to pay 18~20 USD per person, I am not sure how much the price is, cuz I got it for free.
haha.....

After go in there, I suggest you should go and get that MoMA Audio
It helps you to understand artists' works and pieces better.

This following famous piece is by Picasso

Girl before a Mirror

Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973)

Girl Before a Mirror shows Picasso's young mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter, one of his favorite subjects in the early 1930s. Her white-haloed profile, rendered in a smooth lavender pink, appears serene. But it merges with a more roughly painted, frontal view of her face—a crescent, like the moon, yet intensely yellow, like the sun, and "made up" with a gilding of rouge, lipstick, and green eye-shadow. Perhaps the painting suggests both Walter's day-self and her night-self, both her tranquillity and her vitality, but also the transition from an innocent girl to a worldly woman aware of her own sexuality.

It is also a complex variant on the traditional Vanity—the image of a woman confronting her mortality in a mirror, which reflects her as a death's head. On the right, the mirror reflection suggests a supernatural x-ray of the girl's soul, her future, her fate. Her face is darkened, her eyes are round and hollow, and her intensely feminine body is twisted and contorted. She seems older and more anxious. The girl reaches out to the reflection, as if trying to unite her different "selves." The diamond-patterned wallpaper recalls the costume of the Harlequin, the comic character from the commedia dell'arte with whom Picasso often identified himself—here a silent witness to the girl's psychic and physical transformations.

You can see the "earphone" sign there with the number 514
so, you can stand in front of this piece of art and press 514 on your MOMA Audio

This is my favorite piece, very inspire me

The Red Studio

Henri Matisse (French, 1869-1954)

This painting features a small retrospective of Matisse's recent painting, sculpture, and ceramics, displayed in his studio. The artworks appear in color and in detail, while the room's architecture and furnishings are indicated only by negative gaps in the red surface. The composition's central axis is a grandfather clock without hands—it is as if, in the oasis of the artist's studio, time were suspended.

The studio is an important place for any artist, and this one Matisse had built for himself, encouraged by new patronage in 1909. He shows in it a carefully arranged exhibition of his own works. Angled lines suggest depth, and the blue-green light of the window intensifies the sense of interior space, but the expanse of red flattens the image. Matisse heightens this effect by, for example, omitting the vertical line of the corner of the room.

The entire composition is clustered around the enigmatic axis of the grandfather clock, a flat rectangle whose face has no hands. Time is suspended in this magical space. On the foreground table, an open box of crayons, perhaps a symbolic stand-in for the artist, invites us into the room. But the studio itself, defined by ethereal lines and subtle spatial discontinuities, remains Matisse's private universe.

I spent a lot of time walking around and concentrating on many pieces of art
